Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role:
This role is an individual contributor role where the employee will oversee the company's recruiting programs, policies, and procedures to develop and utilize various sources of potential applicants to fulfill staffing needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Receiving requests from the human resources department for new job availability;
  • Creating job postings and putting them up online on the appropriate job sites;
  • Attending job fairs and other events and searching for talent;
  • Communicating by phone, email, and in person with job candidates to figure out things like availability and hiring timelines;
  • Identifying potential job candidates;
  • Judging applicants based on knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics;
  • Reaching out to a number of applicants large enough to guarantee a more than satisfactory hire after interviewing;
  • Recruiting candidates that mesh with the existing company culture;
  • Recruiting candidates within a preset timeframe for continued business productivity;
  • Networking with industry professionals and employment agencies who may know suitable candidates;
  • Writing offer letters and participating in negotiation over salary and job duties.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology/Management or anything related;
  • Minimum 5 years experience in recruitment background;
  • Has experience in handling 1-2 employees;
  • Experience in the retail or auto industry is advantageous;
  • Good PC skills (basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel);
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks;
  • Well organised, detail-oriented and very accurate;
  • Ability to work fast, think fast and hit deadlines;
  • Must be a creative thinker and problem solver;
  • Ability to write clear, concise, grammatically correct English;
  • Must be driven, self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.
