Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role:
As a SEO copywriter, you will writes copy that’s specially formatted and optimised to help websites climb search engine rankings but also engages, informs and persuades readers. SEO copywriters therefore blend creative and technical digital skills to create content that serves several purposes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Writing copy for digital campaigns (Google ads, social media ads, email marketing, blogs and partner communications).
- Writing website copy with a strong focus on SEO.
- Writing punchy ad copy for a variety of marketing collateral including brochures, flyers, billboards, print ads and more.
- Help develop creative concepts and content strategies for both digital and print.
- Understand digital measurement metrics in SEO, information architecture and social media platforms.
- Work with campaign managers, designs and digital specialists to deliver stories that align with business goals.
- Have an understanding of Google Analytics and contribute to marketing strategies.
- Participate in brainstorms and content ideation.
- Provide insights and recommendations on industry copywriting trends.
Skills/Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in copywriting with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Working knowledge of SEO and how it applies to content marketing.
- Experience crafting brand voice, tone, and style guides ensuring consistent language across multiple touchpoints.
- History of creating copy that performed well and drove attention.
- A creative, innovative personality that is always thinking outside of the box
Work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. - Experience with keyword research tools like SemRush, or Ahrefs, etc.
- Experience working for a Digital or Ad Agency is highly desirable.
