Our client, founded in 2015, is the leading home equity platform for homeowners and home buyers seeking an alternative to traditional home financing. Their flagship product, empowers homeowners to unlock their equity in order to eliminate debt, get through periods of financial hardship, and diversify their wealth – without adding to their monthly expenses. It enables investors to access a previously untapped asset class – owner-occupied residential real estate.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with Point’s customers, vendors, and your colleagues to, clear to close and close a transaction
  • Ensure that Point’s lien position is protected by analyzing title reports, facilitating payoffs and reconveyances, and collecting all documentation needed to ensure closing
  • Balance closing fees and document any changes
  • Work cross-functionally with Processing, Funding, Underwriting, and Sales Operations to ensure that each closing process complies with our guidelines, the expectations of the parties, and all applicable laws
  • Explain the Point Option Agreement to customers and act as a point of contact for all homeowner inquiries in the closing stage, including title insurance providers, escrow and closing agents, and other Point vendors
  • Document your processes, seek efficiencies, and scale up the role to maximize efficiency


  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of work experience in mortgage closing, processing, or a similar field
  • Must be from either of the following: Real Estate, Finance, Mortgage, or Banking
  • Experience working with the US workforce and on US financial products
  • Experience using Salesforce software – advantageous
  • Fastidious attention to detail
  • Deep understanding of the real estate closing process - Required
  •  Natural inclination to documentation and seeking efficiencies by leveraging technology
  • A desire to deliver an uncommon level of quality customer service
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office or Google Sheets - you use formulas to reduce errors and increase efficiency whenever possible
  • Excellent communicator over email, phone, and video call
  • Enthusiasm for joining a fast-growing early-stage fintech (financial technology) company
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
